When Fashion Meets Fine Art

Fashion and fine art have always been intertwined, with some of the greatest artists of all time immortalizing fashion in their works of art. From Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches of Renaissance fashion to Andy Warhol’s iconic pop art pieces, fashion has always been a source of inspiration for artists. As an artist who creates high fashion mixed media art, I draw inspiration from old Hollywood glamour and designers of the time, such as Christian Dior and Coco Chanel that created dresses to accentuate the female form and evoke a sense of timeless elegance.

But what happens when fashion meets fine art in the world of mixed media?

Mixed media adds a new dimension to my art by incorporating silver or gold leafing, beads, and rhinestones into my illustrations. I am able to add texture and depth, bringing my artwork it to life in a way that is both timeless and contemporary. Each piece requires careful planning and attention to detail by individually placing each rhinestone and bead by hand. But the end result is always worth it – a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece of art that captures the essence of fashion and beauty.

For me, mixed media fashion illustrations are the perfect way to bring together my love of fashion and my passion for art. It allows me to explore new techniques and materials, while also creating something truly unique and beautiful. Each illustration is a labor of love that I’m proud to share with you!
